INNOVATION BENCHMARK
Based on early expressions of

June05. In collaboration with Lancaster University and Henley Management
College the study will provid useful inter-company comparisons across
sectors, examples of best practice plus relevant guidelines. A summary
report will be provided free of charge. To register your interest in

Importance of Innovation
"Innovate or Die" was the stark
title of a recent IOD convention. As
customers (consumers) are
increasingly better informed and
competition to gain their business
grows ever stronger, the ability to
rapidly respond and innovate is one
of the key success factors of
tomorrow's company.
Innovation can take many forms from
internal process transformation to
new product and service offerings.
Some innovations involve major
breakthroughs, whilst the majority
rely on incremental changes that
have major impacts on customers'
perceptions and underpin efforts to
maintain market share.
Research shows that successful
companies differentiate themselves
through the ways they innovate.
These often involve major
organisational changes.
Knowledge Partners' innovation
research studies address such important
business issues. In collaboration
with top business schools, such as
Henley Management College, more than
twenty such studies have been
completed in the last five years and
have involved over sixty
multinational companies and
government agencies.
In response to interest from a
number of leading organisations,
Knowledge Partners have decided to
launch three new offerings around
this topic:
Syndicate
study - shared-cost market
research project for a number of
subscribing organisations on a
current topic or new technology
Innovation
Assessment - innovation survey
across different sections of the
business with detailed assessment by
innovation experts delivered through
insights workshop
Benchmark
- a free innovation benchmark
based on KnowledgePartners
innovation database with executive
summary and self-assessment tool

The CIIT was formed to promote thought
leadership in the delivery of innovation through information technology.
Currently the centre is researching three areas of interest, Innovation and
Value, IT Governance and Value, and Transformational Outsourcing.
KnowledgePartners are currently working with the sponsors of the Centre –
which include the British Computer Society, Henley Management College,
Microsoft, EDS and Unisys – to create initial whitepapers on these topics,
plus a full research study into these areas using our leading edge
techniques.
